Artists' Books
The production of artists’ books is an art form that has been practiced for a number of centuries with one of its main exponents being the English Romantic painter and poet, William Blake.
The books are created through a high degree of work by the artists’ hand and come in different sizes and shapes, such as scrolls, concertina, fold out and loose page forms presented in a box.
This artform enjoyed a resurgence at the beginning of the 20th century, becoming increasingly popular in contemporary forms to represent complex ideas and narratives.
