This painting is a mix between abstract and realism, 20th Century artist.
My adaptation of Degas’ The Blue Dancers captures two ballerinas form the original, enlarged and painted in acrylic paint on canvas. Degas has some beautiful work but the piece I selected stood out for its bright blues and hundreds of small lines working together to form a gorgeous work in a unique way. Through my adaptation of the artwork, I’ve incorporated some of Degas’ original techniques and features, such as using colour shades to add a sense of depth, but I also tried to make it my own by using bolder acrylic colours on the contrary to the original soft pastel technique.
I chose this work because I was impressed with the composition.
My view of a Monet Garden.
My artwork is heavily inspired by the Spanish artist Salvador Dali (1904-1989). The original painting was made on wood and was an oil painting, but I used acrylic paints instead. An alternate name Dali called this piece was Hand Painted Photograph, and this is represented in the artwork as it was inspired by a dream.
In my artwork I tried to mostly capture the essence of the original painting by Jean Corot, however using less smooth strokes. I like to incorporate different techniques when recreating 20th Century paintings.
