When researching, I investigated the work of  Australian photographer Olive Cotton, which inspired me to take photos of small plants, as a way of showing nature from a different angle. To create this work, I used the technical codes of low-key lighting and exposure (shutter speed, ISO and aperture) to create my visual style. I was also interested in using black and white to create texture.
