Pumpkins bring out family themes associated with Halloween. Halloween to me is a magical time with dress ups and sharing. It brings families, neighbours and new acquaintances together. I love the pizazz of it all! I enjoy dressing up too. Seeing families ‘trick or treating’ together is magical and beautiful.

I don’t associate Halloween pumpkins with black eerie magic. Religiously, Halloween originally stemmed from the Christian observance of All Hallows’ Eve, a time to honour martyrs and the faithful departed. It is also the triumph of light over darkness; spiritual essence weaved through.
