I love the tone, texture and mystery of this piece. It looks one part photograph to one part watercolour painting. The look in the subject’s eyes cements the intrigue. Are they in danger? Are they looking back in sadness, before they cast their gaze to a new chapter of some kind? I love ambiguity in art. It’s all down to the interpretation and the mood of the viewer.
