Lino cut print and acrylic paint
I chose to paint shells in the sun. I used my favourite colours, like flamingo pink and butter yellow and pumpkin orange. I tried creating contrast with the royal blue and highlighting with the butter yellow. I added colouful blob shapes to the corners to look like waves and the sun. When creating the lino print, I enjoyed carving out the shapes. I knew I wanted it to be different, so I carved more than just the outlines of my shapes. I used blue ink because I could only use one colour, and blue reminds me of the beach.
