Animals have been part of art since the first cave paintings.

Student artists are often inspired by animals; from beloved pets that are part of the family, to wild animals roaming free, and even mythical creatures from stories and legends.

Animals appear in paintings, pottery, sculptures and carved stone. They’re drawn or etched into manuscripts, amulets, silks, decorative panels and mirrors.
