Welcome to the newest collection in our isArtworks learning community, the Creative Learning Projects space.
This dedicated gallery space is an opportunity for schools to share the special projects they have been working on using visual arts approaches and techniques to showcase some of the amazing outcomes they have achieved in other learning areas.
The first project featured in our new Creative Connections series comes from Al-Taqwa College, where students have used the arts to respond creatively and thoughtfully to Ramadan.
Year 5 students worked in their class groups to create the Islamic Ramadan Calendar. This unique project celebrates the important spiritual values of kindness and positivity presented in the highly creative calendar designs the students created.
Enjoy hearing from Amal Assafiri, Head of Arabic Language and Religion, and the Year 5 students as they talk about what inspired their work and what it means to them.
